Overview
BestChange is built for the current list, not for last Tuesday. Rebuilding what changed from memory or ad-hoc exports breaks when pairs enter and leave the market. We store a full daily snapshot with the same scored metrics each day, so trend lines compare like with like. That is what makes incident review practical for small teams without a data team maintaining spreadsheets.
How daily history works

Step 1
One snapshot per day
We save the full BestChange market every day using the same structure, so numbers stay comparable across time.
Step 2
Same scoring on every day
Visibility, limits, position, and coverage on a past day use the same rules as today. You are not mixing old list positions with new weighted totals.
Step 3
Overview, then pair detail
Dashboard trends surface exchanger-wide movement first. The all-pairs table and pair pages carry the same daily series when you need the specific direction that moved.
Step 4
Compare two snapshots
Pair detail can show the market on one date beside an earlier period, which helps when the question is what competitors did on that direction, not only how your rank moved.
Historical metrics use the same definitions as today. Formulas and chart links live in the in-app knowledge base.
